Holy shit. This is amazing. New favorite tech industry newsletter.

The level of wading through the Twitter morass needed for this quality of a pulse check + commentary would unfortunately lead to my disemployment. Great work.

You know San Francisco is dead when on a Friday night Waze routes you over the SF Bay bridge when driving from Sacramento to Palo Alto-didn’t even slow down through Berkeley or the toll gate onto the bridge. Had lunch in my favorite hole-in-the wall Chinatown restaurant the next day and the waitress said snow pea shoots and baby bok-choy are too expensive to serve right now. RIP blue state...

Re: the social media rotting our brains, recently listened to a good “Open to Debate” debate on the subject where the argued for social media being bad for our kids is appallingly emotional and his argument felt very thin. The other side is measured and nuanced and by no means saying it’s good for our kids, just that the data doesn’t make it clear. If it’s really the scourge on society that we all think it is, shouldn’t the research agree (like cigarettes)? Still happy to personally be out of mainstream social media and now use Substack as a shit filter for twitter
